Module 4: Management of Common Childhood Disorders

4This module is presented as an 84 page e-book, with once again educational and informative videos and photos to assist in the interactive learning process. This module addresses the management of a number of the more common childhood conditions which will frequently present to a family practice, including:

  • Childhood fever
  • Otitis media
  • Irritable baby syndrome
  • Benign Congenital Hypotonia (the hypotonic child)
  • Bedwetting
  • Deformational Plagiocephaly
  • Dysfunctional nursing
  • Neuro-behavioral disorders
  • Vestibular System Dysfunction
  • Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis
  • Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction

The management of each specific condition is presented as a (largely) evidence-based approach. The discussion of each condition is both logical and, very importantly also very practical in terms of immediate implementation into practice. This includes discussion on adjusting techniques, home management strategies for the parents, as well as informative handouts (which you can download and print on your own office stationary) to further educate the parents, including your role, as well as their potential role, in the management of this condition.

Once again, as is the common theme throughout all of these modules, the emphasis here is on the practical application of specific management strategies, to ensure the best clinical outcome for your pediatric patient.

This module is accredited for 25 CE Hours in the State of California. (Other states pending)
